'Tales Of Poe' To Be Released In Time For Halloween
I was introduced to Edgar Allen Poe as a young boy and I was, inevitably, hooked. I craved anything I could get my hand on that was Poe related and I eventually discovered the Poe pictures that were directed by Roger Corman and starred Vincent Price. These films showcase how hard it is to bring Poe’s works to the screen, because there are times when a short film will tell the story better than a 90 minute feature. That’s where Tales of Poe may have an advantage.
The team over at Wild Eye Releasing has announced they will be unveiling the horror anthology Tales of Poe on DVD and Digital HD on October 11th; just in time for Halloween. The Anthology will include three films based off of The Tell Tale Heart, the Cask of Amontillado and Dreams. The films are directed by Bart Mastronardi & Alan Rowe Kelly and star scream queen Adrienne King (Friday the 13th, Friday the 13th Part 2), Caroline Williams (Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, Halloween 2), Amy Steel (Friday the 13th Part 2, April Fool’s Day) Debbie Rochon (Model Hunger, Hell Town) and Lesleh Donaldson (Happy Birthday to Me, Funeral Home).
